The elevation angle varies by city: in northern KSA it is lower, and in southern regions slightly higher. Use a satellite calculator app with your GPS coordinates to get the exact angle, then adjust the dish until the receiver shows peak signal quality on a known Nilesat transponder.

First set the motor mount to true south according to your longitude and adjust the dish elevation per motor instructions. Then configure USALS in the receiver with accurate latitude/longitude. The motor will move to each satellite automatically, and you can fine-tune if small errors remain.

Nilesat skew in Dubai is usually a few degrees from vertical (exact value depends on your exact location). Installers use signal quality as the final judge: rotate the LNB slowly until the quality on a strong Nilesat transponder reaches its maximum, then tighten the clamp.

Once the dish is aligned in azimuth and elevation, loosen the LNB clamp slightly and rotate the LNB a few degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise while watching signal quality on the receiver. The correct skew is the angle where quality peaks for your main satellite.
